Support Services
Facilitator
Long standing experience based on the Life skills Coaching Certification in Saskatchewan. I have facilitated many different sessions, from large to small; from urban to rural and remote; for indigenous and non-indigenous; on sensitive and controversial to life changing. My skills reside in a passionate belief in the power of groups, and a capacity to support but not dominate the process and with courage to tackle the difficult issues in ways that minimize hurt and maximize positive outcomes.
Custom Designed Workshops
One size fits all does not fit anyone. All my workshops are designed in consultation with members who know and understand the audience and community involved. Highly interactive, often fun and evidence based, these workshops can support transformative efforts.
Board Training
I customize board training to address the vision and direction of the organization in question. Inspiring leadership, supporting growth and mobilizing effective direct are common outcomes for the groups I have worked with.
Oral history
A hands on training workshop that enables individuals and groups to undertake writing their own history
Diversity and cross cultural respect training
Long standing experience with developing training on GLBTT2QQ issues in ways that move people to new appreciation of the gender divergent. More recently, "White on White" is a workshop for allies that does not expect the Group in question to be the bearer of the load of other people's learning but doesn't speak for the groups either. Rather, this workshop is the lens of a careful settler background in Canada, Indigenous to Ireland, on the learning needs and questions of a white audience.
Graphic facilitation
Capturing the ideas and insights of a group in the full flight of discussion creates a meaningful and shared collective progress
