Helping to build a better future, today
Here to serve
I believe in the power of people to articulate, identify and work towards solutions and dreams. I see my role as holding the space and offering the tools to make progress and change possible. As a result, some of the most amazing successes can be achieved because inspired people are doing the work for themselves. I can support your insights and direction in designing with you what will work for you and your group. There is no cookie cutter approach - we all know "one size fits all" pantyhose fit no-one. Rather than impose an external expert directive about what should be done I can offer a wide range of tools, theories, methods and approaches for a mix and match to fit. Not sure what you want or need? Contact me and we can talk about what you want to happen and how I can help. You can reach me at: contact@historyinthemakingpgbc.com
Problems are opportunities posed as challenges
If we created it, we can fix it. But as Einstein has been credited with saying, not with the same tools. I support groups in tapping into their own collective wisdom for grass roots up and, top down support.
Testimonials
"I was wondering how the group activity would work and I should not have had any doubts as it was SO SO valuable. I found a lot of value in it and also feel much stronger in what my role is within it. She knows how to read the group and go at the pace that brings the most benefits. She gave A LOT to us from her years of wisdom so thank you so very much Tess."
Unafraid
There is no topic that cannot be addressed with an eye on solution, no matter how sensitive or uncomfortable, a group can be supported to find the right way through.
Respect for the power of possibility
Those who live with an issue are the best placed to fully identify and describe the challenges and the most likely solutions. Further. those who are involved in creating the answers are the best placed to ensure those solutions are carried through.
Excerpt From the Prince George Citizen of January 19, 2010:
With the help of Dr. Theresa Healy, the Prince George Council of Seniors has been working on board and staff development. Moreover, a committee was formed last year with the aim of helping seniors act on their own behalf and, when they can't, to advocate for them.
"This past year, members of this advocacy committee have been very active in assisting individual seniors in addressing specific situations as well as tackling larger and more general issues of concern to all local seniors," Lola-Dawn Fennell, Prince George Council of Seniors manager said, "This committee is particularly proud of the positive working relationship currently being forged with other agencies."
